About This Course

Problem-solving is consistently rated as one of the highest sought out skills across the industries worldwide. In today’s world, to succeed in the academic and professional world, the need for becoming a good problem solver is paramount.

The course approaches problem solving in a strategic and systematic way, aiming to provide foundational skills of problem solving applicable across many disciplines and types of problems. It entails concepts, frameworks, and strategic approach to problem solving. Following the concepts and strategies, the course demonstrates the application of the learned concepts, frameworks, and strategies through real-world problems, adapted to the needs of analytical admissions and job placement exams.

The course is prepared for anybody who wants to learn problem solving in a strategic and systematic way. The course is especially helpful for students who want to ace admissions and job placement exams since we tried to incorporate topics that are tested across the admissions and job placement assessments. Learners from any background can take this course.

Fees and Scholarships

This course has a fee of 2500 taka. However, the first 1000 students who sign up for this course shall receive full scholarship. There is no separate application needed.

Asma Ul Husna Sanchita

Asma Ul Husna is currently working as an Executive at BYLCx. Her core responsibilities include managing the production of video lectures, developing content strategy, and designing courses for BYLCx. Prior to joining BYLCx team, Asma worked to streamline the admissions process and facilitated in various on-campus leadership programs at BYLC. In the past, she was responsible for social media content generation, online and offline promotion and event management at Mighty Punch Studios, a local creative agency dedicated to animated ad making and comics creation.

Sanchita completed BSc in Civil Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology and MBA majoring in marketing from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. In 2018, she completed a 10 km marathon in the Dhaka Women’s Marathon.

Marjuk Ahmad

Marjuk Ahmad, a graduate of second Building Bridges through Leadership Training program, is working as an executive of the Curriculum Development and Teaching team. His core responsibilities include creating a strategy and action plan for the curriculum development of online on-campus leadership training programs. He also assists in facilitating different leadership programs and conducting workshops and presentations on leadership in different schools, colleges, and universities across the country.

Prior to joining BYLC, Marjuk worked as a research assistant at South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM). At SANEM, Marjuk completed assessment for climate sensitivity and applied climate sensitization for more than 400 Ministry Budget Framework (MBF) projects as part of Inclusion of Climate Dimension in Ministry Budget Framework (MBF), a project undertaken by Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, and research conducted and consulted by PMTC and SANEM. He also conducted research and wrote a comprehensive report on “Improving Working Condition in the Ready-Made Garment Sector: A Baseline Study”, a study undertaken by International Labour Organization and conducted by SANEM.

Marjuk graduated from Green Mountain College, Vermont, USA, with a degree in Sustainable Business major and Mathematics minor. During his junior year, Marjuk completed a semester at Stanford University as a visiting exchange student, where he took courses on computer science and entrepreneurship. During his time at college, Marjuk ran in the college cross-country team, and served as the vice-president of the Inter-Cultural Center, the international student club of Green Mountain College. Prior to leaving for the USA for higher education, Marjuk completed a year of undergraduate economics study at the department of Economics, University of Dhaka. Marjuk has completed his higher secondary education from Notre Dame College, Dhaka, where he represented prestigious Notre Dame College Gold team in Debate and served as the President of the club.

Marjuk loves to read and write. His writings have been published at major national newspapers such as the Financial Express, The Daily Jugantor, Observer Bangladesh, among others. In his spare time, he also enjoys playing guitar, standup comedy, and visiting countryside of Bangladesh.
