Decades of research by world-renowned Stanford Professor Carol Dweck have led to the discovery of two types of mindsets: fixed and growth. The fixed mindset is the belief that intelligence is inherited and cannot be changed with effort and hard work. Whereas growth mindset is the belief that through hard work, practice and effort, intelligence can be improved and increased. Carol’s research shows students with a growth mindset have higher levels of success in almost all areas of human endeavor.
